Mitsuyo Maeda brought judo to Brazil in 1914 and taught one of the Gracie(Carlos Gracie). But Gracie named it BJJ (Brazilian jujutsu). It is no different at all, he shared all his knowledge to teach Gracie despite from different nation. The actual name should be Maeda's jujitsu or MJJ. No BJJ sh*its respect Maeda this is the reason I hate BJJ practitioner. I hate when people says BJJ. It is like insulting the food which let them to see another day.
Your question should be best judo jym in UK. Brazil is not known for martial arts. Most Brazilian champs in MMA were due to Maeda's introduction of Judo.

Manchester is a big city, but I do not think anyone here is living there....Ask a few of your friends to recommend a place for you there...Good luck:)
