Cheering for GB every single time there's no Dutch athlete and there is a British one lol xD
Well, I'm British but I have a neighbour who recently moved to London last November. I became friends with her daughter. She mostly cheers for the USA but when they are not competing against GB she cheers for GB. I do the same I cheer for GB when they are not playing against USA then I would cheer for USA. I support her team and she supports mine.
Yea, I usually do that. Especially if they have a good crowd getting into it. Then I get into it. I was rooting for South Africa in the 2010 World Cup & Poland/Ukraine in this year's Euros.
Some people are not doing very well so they may like to do this. Whether they can substantiate this with any other credible reason for disliking us is probably not happening.
Yes it is nice to see them do well since they are in their country. I'm in the US btw. And I think the Men's gymnastics team should have got that silver medal!!!

Great Britain has done quite well in the last few days. Generally people cheer on the home nation, just wondering if other countries are rooting for GB aswell when there own country is not competing. If not, why and whats the difference between these games and others?
