It's because they're treated like celebs and the clubs that 'own' the players can afford it... It's stupid considering there are people like doctors and paramedics (for example) saving lives everyday getting far less for the hours they do and the work that is involved. 90 mins playing football earns more money than a paramedic would doing three 12 hour shifts a week for a month, it's pathetic and wrong
