Currently the membership of the carlton football club stands at 50,564 My now deceased wife was a member of Carlton when I first met her, she was then 22, when she passed away she was still a member at age 63 She always maintained a sewing/spare room in the house, the walls of which were always adorned with many and various carlton photos and paraphernalia. Our lounge for as long as I can remember always had a Premiership photo of Carlton, and a single photo of John Nicholls , her favourite. the words, keen supporter in her case, was a vast understatement

Just over 50,000 was the last count. that was about 4 weeks ago. No it is not more than what Essendon have in the way of members. they have some sixty od thousand members. but i see that number rapidly decreasing because of this ongoing supplement's saga. something that the club will be well aware of! BTW} I have just sent an email to Mick Malthouse. agreeing with him that the Carlton F.C. has no business playing finals at the expense of another teams demise. we are simply just not ready to play finals just yet!
