Just be real professional about lifting weights. Work out until you hurt, take a day off and then work out again. That is how you get bigger. You can do your upper body on M, W, F and lower body on T, Th, S. It's not so much how many sets and reps you do. You just do reps until you hurt. It takes 20 minutes at first, then 30 mintues a day, then 45 minutes a day as you get bigger over time, then an hour a day after a few years. Many pro football players lift weights 2 hours a day or more, but they started out at just 20 minutes a day. Always use steel weights. You get bigger faster than using machines. Take a good multivitamin, and if you have plenty of extra money then take whey protein powder. Look around the gym to learn exercises, or look it up on YouTube: Free Weight Exercises. You want bench presses, one armed rows, dumbbell press, curl, forearm curls, maybe some wrist curls. Those are good to start with. And, find some time to do some running. Good luck.
