Im sorry man but practice is the only way to improve tackling efficiency. Get a tackle bag and run sets of six to eight getting someone else to pick up the bag as you reset and go again. The concept is focused more on getting your head in the right position and hitting the opposition player with everything you have, the harder you hit him, the harder he will fall. Ball skills are somewhat easier to work into your day, keep a ball in your hands hold it under your arm and keep switching it around and just maintain control, you don't even need to think about it. Another idea is when you are sitting around doing nothing get a ball in one hand so that your palm is facing the floor, drop the ball and catch it after it drops five centimetres with your palm face down still, if you get me. Ball security and tackling are the "main 50% of the 1%ers" if you get me. And fitness, lots of running.
Do a lot of running (Sprints, Long runs, everything) but with a ball. Than do all round fitness (cardio and strength). Here's some drills but a lot won't be possible by your self or if you don't have the equipment.-
