s it too late fo me to start gymnastics?

So I'm 17 and I'm 5'3 (160cm), I'm naturally flexible and can nearly do the splits, I play a lot of sport , I do field hockey and I'm a goalkeeper and I Ski race. Is it too late for me to start gymnastics? I know I'm not going to go to the Olympics

Thanks

Okay, so I was a gymnast for 13 years. Started when I was 2. I trained at one of the top gyms in the country. I was a 2016 hopeful. And from experience, NO WAY ITS NOT TOO LATE! There were women in their 30's at my old gym just learning gymnastics! I mean, you're right, you will not go to the olympics, and have about a one in a million chance of a scholarship.. But, that's no reason not to start! If you feel like getting out there and just flipping and setting goals, you do that! Don't let anything hold you back. Your age, peoples' opinions, anything! Gymnastics will always be the love of my life. You should go for it!

No! I did gymnastics as a kid for a few years but quit, now I'm 22 & getting back into it!

It's never too late to get into anything, not long ago I saw one of those "Got Talent" videos where an 83 year old woman was absolutely SLAYING a salsa routine with her much younger partner. It was absolutely stunning.

I think its not too late, yes some gymnasts will be better because they started when they were 6-7 years old, but if you just dont quit training gymnastics you will probably catch up with them.

I started when I was 12 and at first it felt weird because people half my age were double my skill level. I thought I was too old, but honestly, it is not too late. At my gym (and probably most gyms) they run adult classes for 17+ I think and it looks great. I think it would be a great way to have some fun and get excersise.

That's ridiculous - It's NEVER too late to start anything... If you wanna do gymnastics, then DO IT
