The worst sportsmanship I have seen. Seriously if Americans aren't winning at something they just HAVE to make some sort of degrading comment about things.
It's better to give someone the benefit of the doubt. If they were in the wrong, then you can gladly make all the comments you want but making accusations like that just because you lost is pathetic.
Also, she was tested twice and cleared twice. So if you're that intent accusing someone even though they've been cleared then EVERY SINGLE American athlete that ever lived is also taking drugs, too. Obviously drug testing means nothing.
EDIT:
Improving your time by seconds is really impressive, but it does happen when you're that young. If anyone remembers it happened to Ian Thorpe. A lot of it's racism as well, people don't think Chinese people are that athletic at all. Jeez, I wonder how many Americans have personally measured all 1.1billion Chinese people on the planet and come to the one conclusion they have small private parts and use that as an excuse to accuse them of cheating at the Olympics.
1. 90% of those American athletes play baseball, not even an Olympic sport
2. It's because Ye is breaking her own records by 5+ seconds, records she just set like a month ago. It's remarkable improvement on her swimming. I could understand why they say that, but I myself am not saying she's doping.
3. Missy's not dominating like Ye is, she's doing well but not fantastic.
4. It's relatively few people accusing Ye of drugs, and only one in the news that I can think of
When you improve your personal best time by 5 seconds in a little over a month it's going to raise some eyebrows. Was it poor sportsmanship? Perhaps. This is the era we live in nowadays though. Anytime someone does something we haven't seen done before it's going to raise a question or two. The Chinese are notorious for very unscrupulous practices in developing their athletes. Everything from growth hormones and PED's administered at a very young age to children being taken from their homes and placed into "Academies" that are really just camps where kids are kept from their families and forced to practice their sports.
It IS a bit odd though that her final lap time was faster than any of the men's isn't it? There are plenty of drugs that are undetectable through most IOC tests and I wouldn't put it past them to do it. It just stinks of cheating, sorry... it does.
First of all Armstrong has NEVER been caught for any PED (not saying he is innocent, but you can't claim he was caught when he wasn't). Of course there are Americans that have, just like any other country.
Ye was faster than the fastest male swimmers in the world, she is taking something - if you don't believe it then you are simply naive.
The Chinese have also been the most notorious for cheating in the last decade so people don't trust them anymore.
I think it's probably just because most Americans expect to be the best at all sports (including the olympics). This causes confusion/jealousy when another country wins, which leads to wild accusations being thrown around. If China had no gold medals right now, you wouldn't be hearing about any of this.
Due to past history, people are skeptical whenever someone excels or dominates this much and jump to a conclusion that they are on steroids.. Her time was better than Lochte's time which is remarkable. In a short time, her time has improved by 5 seconds....this is remarkable. Therefore, are cyncial. She gets tested during the games and each winner gets tested...I'm hoping she's drug free.
Ok, so you are kind of clueless, Lance Armstrong has never been caught doing drugs. The Chinese have been caught.
Because China is still the laughing stock of the world.
Don't you understand that Americans are strong, athletic people? The most in the world. Everyone knows that.
Chinese are weak, VERY short people. They need to dope to catch up to the humans that are far more evolved.
Eat more protein or something cos your brains and muscles are tiny!
the stereo types of asians are true.. small (you know what).. small everything..
they need to take steroids to catch up to the rest of the world.
Somewhere along the way asians missed a step in evolution LMAO
Do people not remember the literally, hundreds of American athletes that have got caught for drugs? Just a few months ago Lance Armstrong was caught.
Why do people accuse Ye of drugs, but not Missy Franklin?
