Why did Australia boycott the Olympic games in 2012?

If we knew why Australia did not send a Olympic team to the Olympics it would help, there cause

They didn't boycott the games. They have the seventh most medals of any country. In fact, they sent 419 athletes to these olympics.

Funny question.

They have not won even if they got into finals.

It's been an unusually good year for Britain, not for Germany, Australia, France and several other powerhouse nations.

Interesting.

The Aussie's will be back.

My friends there assure me of that. They have four years to work smarter if not harder.

The U.S. has been lucky to have so many medals frankly.

They didn't they were 10th I think. They're actually pretty good, U.S.A, China, UK and Russia have a LOT more people which means more of a chance of having talented people, so for a country of not a bigger population Australia did quite well.

Australia did not boycott London 2012. But the athletes performance made it appear that way.

A minor dip in performance, exacerbated (in non North American eyes) by winning 'only' seven golds.

Nothing to see here.

So just who was that that beat Victoria Pendleton in the cycling sprint race, Anna Meares, an Aussie? Now how did she get there, and those sailors as well....

They wanted Vegemite to be served on their toast in the morning instead of marmite. The Brits did not comply.

I am happy with their performance now they can come back bask in the sun and enjoy our roaring economy while looking to RIO.

It was in protest of the UK's invasion of Lower Slobovia.

Is this a joke? If so then clever trolling.

If this isn't a joke then I feel bad for you.

What right minded person would want to go the UK?
