They wouldnt be as exciting if they was held every year or other year
the ancient olympics were held every 4 years as well.
So that there is time for preparation, both for the athletes and the host country I guess.
So the Olympians have time to prepare, and if it was every year, people would get bored.
It takes more than four years to even prepare for the event with traffic, stadiums, you name it...
because they wanna follow the success of the world cup
