Second it is an optical impairment for humans. It is very difficult to hit something coming straight at you. Our vision is not made for that. We can interpret sideways motions much easier. The brain simply does not interpret closing distance like that especially if the target changes speed on top of it such as slowing down or speeding up. In martial arts where you learn strategies on top of techniques you learn to take advantage of this and it is part of how to execute techniques taking this into consideration rather than merely hitting hard anywhere.
This does not mean that it can not be learned. You can get better at it through training. My students are not perfect at it but they are better at it than the average person.
One of the training drills that I used to do when I competed was I would have a student drop hand focus pads that were being held head height and I would try to round house kick it before it hit the ground. I got where I could hit it about groin to low abdominal height with a lead leg roundhouse kick just by picking the leg up and firing it when the student dropped the pad. Your leg muscles are primarily slow twitch, power type muscles and so you really need to develop those fast twitch muscles in your legs to be able to do something like what you are trying to do.
Speed, accuracy and timing.
You just need to work on it until you can.
Just keep kicking, but do use proper form, don't just wave your legs around.
You simply don't have the skill yet. But that does not mean that you can't eventually do that. It is not a skill that is of much use, but if you really want to be able to do that, then you just need to keep training.

when i try to front kick or side kick a on coming football why can't i hit it with my front or side kick but i can hit a hanged football easily with front or side kick but why i can't front or side kick a that is thrown at me please answer
