In the U.S. NBC has bought the rights to exclusively show the Olympics. They have several sister channels such as CNBC, MSNBC, and of course the flagship station NBC. All these channels are showing Olympic coverage, though I have found coverage is rarely live.

If you want to watch the Olympics live online (what I'm doing now) you need to provide a few details on your current cable provider granted you have a cable service that includes MSNBC and CNBC. After you sign-up you'll have access to live events, previous events, and commentary analysis.
