Volunteers are some of the most respected people at an Olympics. When my home city Sydney hosted the games many thousands volunteered, received beautiful outfits to wear which I still see people wearing with pride on Sydney streets to this day. It is probably the easiest way to become involved but bear in mind there is a huge infrastructure behind the games. My dentist worked with the athletes attending Sydney during our games, a musician friend played with his band entertaining crowds at Olympic venues and another friend was a driver transporting officials, athletes and their entourages around the city. These were all paid positions so as you can see the scope for involvement is enormous so good luck
Volunteer they are always looking for volunteers. Start looking now and see if you can be put on a list.
they need a streaker
This is probably going to sound a little strange but How is it possible to become part of the Olympics with out being an athlete or attending as a fan? I am 28, not very athletic though not a complete lazy bum, and I do not play any sports. I honestly never had much interest in sports with the exception of the Olympics... Why that is I do not know. Whenever I watch the Olympics I develop a strange love and passion for it, so much so that when it is over it severally depresses me lol, difficult to explain. I think it is the fact that it is such a high excitement, extremely popular, world wide event, and it makes me feel like I am missing out and makes me wish I could be in the middle of it all!
Maybe some type of job in the Olympics? What that would be I do not know... My experience level for sports are zero, never went to college... and there is no particular sport that really interests me that I would want to attempt to learn. Overall I am up for a big career change if I just knew what that would be that would go along with my Unusual interest in the Olympics... I also know I am not getting any younger...
