24 movement form is yang style form created from the longer forms for beginners to master. It is fairly modern form. There are many 108 forms for different styles because 108 is a significant number in Taoism. I know Yang and Chen has their own 108 forms. I believe there are few more styles with 108 forms but not sure which. 108 forms are more older forms than the shortened forms like 24 form, 16 form, and such.
Both are Yang Shi (style). Usually when you talk about the 24 forms and 108 in Chinese martial art it is assumed that it is Yang style as they are the first forms taught in Yang style Taiji and by far the most popular ones.
However there are also 108 and 24 forms in Chen style as well but they are not known as much. Chen style's basic forms are the Laojia (old frame forms) and the new frame forms.
both are Yang style. 24 is for the beginners and it's usually done at normal speed, lasting about 5 minutes or less. 108 is considered "traditional", there are various kinds with essentially the same stances but slightly modified, and it is practiced both at normal speed or in very slow motion. the slower you practice 108, the stronger you become, physically and mentally. 30 minutes is the minimum for slow motion.
