So I was wondering if I should go for jv lacrosse this year. It's a walk on team with no cuts. The thing is the first practice starts in a week (March 3rd) and i barley know how to handle my stick. I know how to cradle and pic up ground balls, but I can't switch hands while cradling or throw that good or catch that good or throw or catch with my left hand. Ik your supposed to do wall ball to get better but I haven't had the time. All I ever did was like 20 minutes today. Should I even try being on the team and progressing? I'm gonna b the worst one and be prety humiliated scine were like the 4th ranked lax high school in the nation. Im also probably going to have no idea what their talking about half the time? So should I do it? Do you think I can progress fast? And do you think they will show every one how to do everything since it's jv? How good normally are beginning jv players? Thanks everyone!
Screw em. Go for it. No ragrets.
Honestly dude just do it I mean you will probably have fun and it looks like you have nothing to lose. Find time to practice. And u won't be humiliated since people will recognize that u have little experience and will help u improve.
Just do it! Have fun with it. You won't be humiliated, just make it clear to everyone that you're just a beginner. If you screw up, turn it into something funny and don't take everything as seriously. And if it is really unpleasant, just quite the team. It's worth a try, right?
go for it just before you go and play on a team do some research on the rules and how to play if you dont (and players too)
ya i think u should go for it and try to learn how to do it :)
