Excited!
This is the greatest event on earth that brings together people from all corners! I'm sure UK has made great efforts...as all host nations do! There's always some tension and nervousness when organising such large scale events. Though my country has only hosted Asiad and Commonwealth Games...we could feel the excitement and nervousness all around in New Delhi. It's kind of keeping fingers crossed and hoping everything concludes well :)
Don't worry...your country's efforts would pay off well and games will get on without any untoward incidents!

I have been waiting with baited breath for years!!! I can'y believe that it's finally happening!
The Olympic Torch went through my town but I was unable to go and see it as I was working. I am still fuming with senior management at my workplace over their decision. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity which I missed out on:(
At last, a person who loves what is happening in my country, my City, the best country and best City in the world. We will enjoy the Games and I dont care if the rest of the world don't. Who gives a monkeys. I await the Opening Ceremony and like you, cant wait for the medals to start coming in.
If it inspires kids to get off the playstation and take up sport for real instead of winning gold by bashing buttons on a controller then that's a good thing.
im 13 and i cant wait. i hope to be at the winter Olympics one day.
i hope this huge event will inspire the nation to get active.
it is an inspiring event and i hope the flame will be carried back to the uk again in my life time.
and that one day my future children will compete in rythmic/artistic gymnastics or figure skating/ice dance.
i have an ice cold beer and am happily awaiting the opening ceremony...it will be great and the start of a fantastic couple of weeks for the sports and if we win any medals...that's a bonus!!

Waste of time, money & resources and I'll be trying my hardest to ignore it, there's a national deficit, so we waste money on Olympics while pensioners, hard-working people, parents etc are getting ripped off by the government.
LONDON IS ONE OF THE GREATEST COUNTRIES IN THE WORLD AND THEY HAS A MELTING POT OF RACES, OCCUPATIONS, AND IS A WORLD LEADER AND IT IS GOOD THAT THEY HAS THE CHANCE TO HOLD THE OLYMPICS IN THEIR COUNTRY.
It has nothing to do with sport or national pride. It's about advertising, merchandising and business.... and when it comes to the very young athletes, it's about child abuse.
I'm from the UK to let you know , I'm excited because its a once in a life event in my country in my generations life time, and the UK has made a mega effort and I just want you to share your thoughts 10 points given still ???(:
