Learning martial arts alone?

That's because bjj is an infra martial art, it's only useful in the ring

Use websites like Meetup to find people around you that train at a high individual level, to work off.

Also recall any older members you knew and respected that you trained with, and try to train with them privately. Classes are to offer guidance to the ignorant and those without a location or equipment to train.

I doubt he held it for 30 seconds....that's more than enough time for you to scream out in pain, and for him to break your arm. I don't recommend martial arts for people with anger issues. Get your anger issues under control first.

There are very few things in this world that you can learn alone. Think about it. What have you actually figured out on yourself? In most things in life you've had a teacher, right? Why would martial arts be any different? You can not learn muay thai at home alone.

Training alone wihout a teaher is not good as there is no one to see and correct your techniques. You said you were in Taekwondo, then why not continue it??

I feel as if you're a troll

I was a second degree red belt in taekwondo and then I went to bjj classes but was kicked out after sparring, this guy kept holding me in an arm bar like 30 secs after i tapped so I struck him a few times when I got up.. I'm 17, my mom won't let me join anymore classes and I want to look into muay thai... my dream is to fight professionally... what I do to work on slips is hang a coke can from the ceiling fan and dodge it.. I also have plenty of punching bags and can sometimes spar with my cousin who takes boxing classes..yes I shadow myself in the mirror too... any other tips for learning muay thai at home?
