Also, is there a weight limit on a longboard? I'm a pretty hefty guy lol.
I am an extremely good skateboarder, but honestly have never longboarded. I'd probably forget I was longboarding, try to kickflip, and break it somehow. It took me about 3 days to be able to ride around on my skateboard perfectly without falling. I'm sure with a wider wheelbase, hangar, and axle length it should be easier for you. Also, it's near impossible to break a longboard because you don't actually leave the ground. On a skateboard however, you spend most the time in the air and if you screw up a landing, you could break the deck. Or yourself :o
Well, it depends with each person to be totally honest. I found it was ludicrously fun and easy to use at times...but it does take a lot of practice to even start off without falling on your bum and a lot more to learn how to brake. I don't know about the weight limits and what not, but it is a load easier than a Skateboard because of the increased length and wide turns are easy to maneuver and do. It really depends on preference.
I heard it is, I wanna get a penny board super bad. I've heard that a penny board is harder to start with because its so small. But Im not sure if that's true or not!! Also there's different types of long boards :) like a cruiser etc.
it shouldnt be hard for you but it will take a little getting used too
and theres no weight limit
but make sure you have good balance so you dont fall back or anything
but it does take time to learn
