Tumbling is very important. Major tumbling skills would be a back-handspring, round off back handspring, roundoff back handspring tuck and round off tuck. If your school requires tumbling, its mostly likely just a standing back handspring which is pretty easy to get if you are in the right condition. I suggest taking tumbling lessons. Jumps you need to know are toe touch, hurkey, pike, and hurdler. Sometimes you need to know a double toe touch. Make sure you learn the sets for each jump too. Learn your basic motions which are high V, Tee, Broken Tee, Low V, Touchdown, and The K. Facials are also very important and coachs really pay attention to them. Smile when you say the cheer and for the dance lip sink the words to the song and if you don't know the words then mouth the vowels. It makes what you are doing look so much better. If you forget the dance/ cheer while you are trying out just smile or make up your own thing. It looks way better then just standing there not doing anything. Stretch everyday. Strech in a straddle and try to get your stomach to the ground. Do kicks and splits too. It helps so much. Condition as much as you can so when it comes time to stunt you will have the strength. Good luck, I hope this helped :)
Hahah
i would start taking tumbling classes because alot of teams have certain tumbling requirements. Also, probably start stretching frequently even if you arent gonna be a flyer because flexibility is HUGE in cheer
Do you want to cheer for your school or for an all star team?
Join a Rec. team you would learn all the basics and then eventually move up.
practice your twerking
