it would have ben better if you where had started in elemtary like me cause my 100m time is about 10.34 but i would say just work on building your calf muscle like look at usain bolts legs there rip abousltey beautiful try getting it to look like that and you'll be getting gold in 2016 or 2020 hell maybe both but i feel you i'm trying to go to the olympics to my strongest is probabley the 800m and 1500m run for a mid/long distance runner anyway goood luck!!!
im a 14 guy and i wonder the same thing.my coach tells me to run long distances(5-6miles)in one jog to increase my endurence.so i run that 4 times a week.it really does help improve you.also, you should try running from one point to another(short distances) and try to get faster every single time.have some1 time you if you can.also when your running, make sure you run on the balls of your feet and that you relax your face muscles.i know it sounds wierd but my coach gave me that tip.i dont know much about high jump so maybe you can googlre that or ask your coach?
Move to China.
Hi, i'm 14 and a girl, if that helps, anyways i know it's a slim chance of ever happening but i would love to be able to compete in rio 2016 olympics or 2020 olympics. or even just be a recognised athlete competing on some level.
I need help improving my 100m/200m sprints and high jump! those are what i'd like to do.
my 100m time i think is around the 12.8secs mark (olympic standards; A- 11.29 B- 11.38)
my 200m time is 24.6. (olympic standards; A- 23.10 B- 23.30)
my best high jump score so far is 1m30, (olympic standards; A- 1.92m B- 1.95m)
^yes, i know this is really bad but thats only with 4 practices, i've never had any training, etc. but i've only ever had 4 oppertunities to have a go and need some tips on how to improve at home as i dont have access to high jump equiptment! also i think i could improve a little as i have quite a lot upper body strength, speed and a gymnastic background.
also does anyone know how you get recognised as an athlete to compete in competitions like in the country or internationally or whatever? (obviously after a massive improvement..)
and NO, not ALL athletes start at an early age, some have started at 13-16!
please dont judge-___-
thank you so much!
