I was in marching band in college Skydivers came out a plane onto the field for pregame ceremonies. One guy's parachute did not open. He crashed right near me. He broke all but two bones in his body and lived, but was in the hospital for years. He could have died. It left such an impression on me to this day, I can't even watch the sport.
