Do you think ballet should be in the Olympics? ?

its not a sport. its a form of dance. i think its incredibly tough, but again, its not a sport because theres no formal way to measure how good a person is. at least in gymnastics, there are events that require a lot of power and not just glitzy stuff. and in synchronized swimming, theres a level of how to measure how well a team does, but not in ballet.

I think you are wrong

Ballet is not a sport even though I agree that it takes many years of learning and practice and the skills that is required is quite spectacular

I also think that the equestrian aspect in the Olympics is not a sport, the rider just sits and guides a horses head to where he wants it to go, the horse does all the work not the rider -- there is no comparison with something like Gymnastics

I think it should, along with ice skating, darts, etc. how equestrian gets to be called a sport I don't know.

I think a fight to the death between all countries would be the most interesting sport to watch but obviously violates some big laws.

No, so if ballet is in it than hip hop, contemporary, jazz, all type dancing should be in the Olympics. In my eyes when they do rhythmic gymnastics or floor routine i see a little of ballet.

It's basically gymnastics floor exercise with out the tumbling so there's a better version of it in the Olympics already.

I'd rather see Drunken Claw Hammer Kung fu than ballet.

I just feel that it is definatly a sport and that it should be envolved in the olympics, they could get propper examinators and everything! It tales years of training especially pointe, lots of strength, skill and effort. Why would it not work????!!!!
