Well if you don't like gymnastics because of the mean coaches, you can always try a different gym. My old gym had a really really nice coach. She was pushing when we needed the extra push but she was very nice. Also, if you dislike the strenuous hours you could just chose which days/how many days per week you want to go. You can't really change how long the class is, and I'm not sure if you can choose how many days per week you want to go, but in my old gym I was aloud to do that.
Do whatever your heart desires! Rate them from 1 to 10. (Don't use the same rate more than once) The one with the highest rate I believe you should do (Because that says you want to do it more xD)
I personally have done dance, cheer, and gymnastics. My favorite out of all was gymnastics. I took some ballet with umbrellas class when my old gym shutdown for 2 years to relocate and it wasn't fun for me. I hated it... Although I wouldn't mind taking hip hop...
Cheer, was overall boring in my opinion. Maybe it was because I was still little but I dislike all the stupid chants you have to do and all the clapping and we barely did ANY flips. Maybe a few cartwheels here and there but...
This may be COMPLETELY different for you. I'm just sharing my opinions and experiences. I hope you pick your favorite (:
REMEMBER: You can ALWAYS get back into shape if you have dedication and do exersizes and stretching everyday at home. Goodluck !
Definitely don't give up on what you love because of a bad gym or self doubt. You won't get any better or know what you can and can't do without getting back out there. If gymnastics is what you love, try it again at a different gym. If you want to explore other passions, cheerleading is always a good option for girls with gymnastic experience. Cheerleading is like a combination of cheer and gymnastics so it might be worthy to try. But don't go in with a lot of expectations. I know you said you want to be a flier but you have to start somewhere and you should go in with an open mind. Dance is always a great option because of the many opportunities it offers. Dance is very different from cheer and gymnastics because practices include technique and classtime and you learn a routine. its in a studio not in a gym and you can learn many many different styles. A dancer myself, I would suggest trying something other than ballet. Ballet is necessary for building good technique. Its the foundation for every style of dance. if its available to you, try a few different classes to see what you really love. If you can, maybe try cheer dance and gymnastics and see which one you love the most. But definitley chose one of these while you can. At fourteen, you can really start to see the benefits of knowing one or all of these skills. There are plenty of opportunities in all three. my best memories are from my high school dance team competitions and now I am on a college team. Good luck! Stay confident!
No one can tell you what to do but yourself, but maybe I can help you make your decision.
It doesn't really sound like you're very enthusiastic about dance.
You must have been very very talented at gymnastics to get to Level 8 in only three years. Like, REALLY.
Personally, I think you might be disappointed in cheer if you chose that. It does require athletic ability, but I think not as much...
Maybe just try gymnastics for a little more?? It sounded like you really enjoyed it when you did it. You would get more flexible and stronger as you did more of it. Because you didn't like your coaches, if there's another club in your area you could try going there.
Whatever your decision, have fun with it!! :)
I'd do dance because as you said you are still a good dancer. If you dance you'll.lose weight and enjoy yourself. If you'd like to join a professional dance team they're more interested in hiring people who're experienced.
check out martial arts. you will learn self defense and really improve your balance and body motions
don't work with mean coaches. if you want a challenge do cheer dance would bore you if you prefer challenges.
