I have also been of the belief they receive no salary as such, but am sure they receive a more than adequate allowance for entertainment and that any costs for duties carried out in support of the club requiring accommodation , transport, incidentals etc would be borne by the club. the position of club President is usually held by extremely successful businessmen, who are also strong supporters of the club, and bring the prestige of their position to the club. its by far a win win situation for both club and president. You particularly mention, Kosh and Eddie, the two clubs involved are indeed lucky to have such devout supporters. both are very able and astute Presidents of their clubs
Not been totally sure about this Yahoo could well be spot on, but I dare say all Presidents would be given an Allowance for such things as entertainment, drinks, etc, comes with the job.
