Im going to be in the football team next year as a freshmen im a beginner at playing football what is a good position for beginners im 5 foot 8 and 145lbs

Reciever is probably best for you on offense. Unless you have an amazing quarterback your team will be running the ball 70% of the time so you will be mainly blocking...as for defense, perhaps outside linebacker or corner.. Cornerback requires very good speed and reaction time and youll have to be able to read the offense. Its requires a little more skill than outside linebacker but outside linebacker requires more toughness and strength as youll be dealing with tight ends and running backs
