Is Essendon carrying Dustin Fletcher?

I have always been a big wrap for Fletch but I reckon his efforts this year have been below par, I'd say Tayte Pears has been playing better but he keeps getting dropped. Fletch seems to panic when he gets the ball nowadays and rarely has any impact on a game, do you think Hird has the balls to make the tough call and drop him?I have always been a big wrap for Fletch but I reckon his efforts this year have been below par, I'd say Tayte Pears has been playing better but he keeps getting dropped. Nah - I was at the ground tonight and he looked like he was positioning himself well enough. He's the wrong back for the Cats though because they have so many smalls up there and he doesn;t really match up of Hawkins (although Hawkins was shite tonight)

Dustin was recently rested but did play last week. I think at this stage of his career he should be rested more, but I wouldn't call it being dropped. We don't lose much when he's out, as evidenced by our performance against the Pies. I would agree with you that his disposals are not that good as in the past, and he sometimes gets out of position. Nah, don't think Hird will drop him. I think the club wants him around, for life probably. But I think you will see his playing time reduced. It will be interesting to see the selection later when we are playing top clubs week to week.
