I really hope he isn't fired over this. I'm not saying what he said wasn't right, because it was pretty offensive, but he is very apologetic and i think he's telling the truth when he says he just wasn't thinking. It was a really stupid thing to say, but i don't think this should overshadow the good things he's done. The media stirs people up and is unforgiving. And not that it should make my 2 cents more or less weight, but i speak as an Australian with some aboriginal heritage. Edited to add: I don't know enough about Eddie to know if he should run for PM, i was just thinking he shouldn't be fired from his job over this if he has taken responsibility and expressed genuine remorse. I don't think his victim would necessarily want that revenge, but i could be wrong
C'mon YAHOO get REAL will you. Eddie for PM, you got to be having me on. The Victorians love to hate Collingwood more than anything else in this country. Where would the support come from? Even if Eddie was guaranteed the leadership of the Labour Party, I doubt very much if I would vote for him and as you know I bleed black and white. I am just intelligent enough to make my vote count on a party's policies not their personalities.
