Because I enjoy shooting them. Because they represent a considerable investment on my part. Because I enjoy teaching other people how to handle and shoot safely. Because it's something my Dad and I have in common and that we enjoy doing together just about every week. Because it does help me be safer in an uncertain society. Because firearms represent some of the most elegant mechanical engineering in existence and as an engineer myself I appreciate that. Because they are mine, like any other of my valuable possessions.

Is that good enough for you? Because statistically, me and my guns are probably safer for society than you and your car.

Come to think of it for the same reason I want to keep my house, my car, my watches and everything else I've worked to pay for.

Average emergency response time of police is now 12 minutes, in that time my wife and I could be dead and the bad guy several miles away.

Because until I can fly or run 40 miles an hour through the brush, then catching tasty critters isn't going to happen any other way.

That is such a stupid question it doesn't really deserve an answer. But I will. I like guns,it's my right to own them,and the day could come when they are needed to help protect my family and myself.

Because I live in a country with property rights.

So I can keep my BMW I worked hard for and my flat screen I just bought and to blast anybody who thinks they can take it from me

Because I have the LEGAL right to bare arms and no one can take away our rights

They belong to me, I bought them, try to take them and you'll find out what they can do.
