If so, what is the best skateboard for transportation? And how much does a skateboard cost?
Also, is it possible for me to learn to skate well in about 8 months? No crazy tricks or anything, just roll around without falling off.
I would get the new never summer Heist, the features are unlike any other board such as:
kicktails
flex
10" wide
sick graphics
dropthrough
and because it is a dropthrough board, you can lock it up with the python master lock anywhere. Kick tails are important for those tight corners and to avoid crashing into people. The flex makes it unique and absorbs those concrete cracks.
bearings, get bones redz or mini logos
trucks, get calipers 10" (or 9" if you get wide off set wheels like zigzags.)
wheels. seismic black ops, orangatang stimulus, and abec 11 reflex
To lock it up even further. get torx or allen kingpins at a online bolt store. And maybe you can find torx axle nylock nuts to lock the wheels. allen hardware is always a must.
the skateboard I described will cost around 250
You can pick up the rolling around part in a few hours. I've seen people use them, but I never did. A lot of people rode bicycles too.
I walked, and once you get in shape and wear comfy walking shoes ( I wore leather thong sandals ), you can cover a lot of ground pretty quickly. I also went to a ginormous school, and probably walked 3-4 miles per day going back and forth to class.
hello. i would recommend a penny board since they are small enough to fit in a backpack. just know that they are a bit harder to learn but it usually doest take for that 2 weeks to get the rolling part right
Well you wouldn't be able to ride in corridors. You will also have to learn to skate so your probably better off running lol
Get a bike lol. I was on a big *** campus also. Just grab a bike, there will be bike racks all over the place.
it will be more trouble than it's worth and will be stolen if you put it down for a even a few seconds plus you will be regarded as weird
