I have no experience really, And last week I went to a 3 day camp for it, I learned a lot of things and I found it really fun. My highschool is having open gym for the summer two days a week for 3 hours, up until the beginning of August,, and I think with enough practice I'll be able to make the team. This is really important to me. I haven't really stopped thinking about it since I first got out on the court, I love it and I'm really eager to learn. I understand for tryouts, that the coaches won't be looking for the BEST players, just kids who have some potential.
What kind of things should I do to prepare for it?
What kind of things should I fill my volleyball bag with (In advance)
Any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. :)
I dont know much about volleyball, basketball yes, but I would think as with all sports stick to the basics and the fundamentals you should do fine, I am sure you learned the basics at camp, and going to the gym 2 - 3 times a week for the summer will really help.
You can research volleyball terms so you know what they're talking about. If even you don't know how to do them, it will be helpful to at least know what they are talking about. You can also research the different positions so you can understand the sport, that will help you. If you haven't already, you should buy some knee pads, most sports stores have them.
