In terms of sprinting alone, I would give the nod to Bolt, because as of this point, they both won 5 sprinting golds. But Bolt has the 100m/200m double which Lewis did not have. There is still the strong possibility for another gold tomorrow for Bolt in the relay.
Overall, Lewis has 9 gold medals (4 for long jump). Bolt has 5 and can possible have 6 by the end of the olympics. If Bolt continues to perform well in the next olympics, then I'd say he was greater than Lewis overall. But for now, Lewis is the greater athlete, Bolt is the greater sprinter.

the fastest Usain Bolt has ever ran is 9.58 (without taking drugs) and he's only 25 and is likely to run quicker than that.
