There has actually been a couple of "Strongman Champions" that have competed in MMA. Mariusz Pudzianowski has gone 6-3 against some respectable names (defeated UFC vet Sean Mccorkle, just last year). English Strongman Champion Oli Thompson is currently 12-5 & competed in the UFC. There are probably more. All in all, i guess it depends on the environment & rules.
Fighter has an edge but let's be real here, strongmen, the pros at least, are not just strong. They are powerful. They've got grips that could potentially tear skin so while the UFC fighter has an edge with his training, brute strength has a value all of its own.
well if it was about lifting up a huge weight it would be the strong man. If it was a fight then the UFC fighter would wipe the floor with him. although i would not be using rules to do it. hard to stand and fight with a smashed knee then being choked out no matter how tough you are
Any trained fighter should defeat a strongman.
For example, many times here in Boston a skilled boxer would cream a construction worker in a street fight. Or a good wrestler would have his way with a good full contact football player.
That's like saying who would win: the Marine Corp or Joe's Construction Company??
UFC Fighter are stonger maybe I stongman I guess.
A fighter. Because they fight. If you're not trained to fight, odds of you beating someone who does are low.
ufc fighter.
Who would win in a fight, a ufc fighter, or the world's strongest man?
