If you caught a burglar breaking into your home and hit him over the head with a vase as he stuck his head through the window, under UK law YOU are guilty of with assault because you didn't run away first.
Lol!!! This is actually quite common...
First thing, is that many from that part of the world, from Iran to the Western Mediterranean sea, would have done the same...I even saw similar cases live...Lol!!!
The thing is not the self-defense courses but the mentality...While I do understand the opposite view as well, is better to be like that...You can not be complying with whatever type of force you step into, just because someone wants to dominate over you and take something from you or cause you some harm...If you just comply with everything, you are not free but a slave of whatever force you step into...That is the truth and I disagree with political correctness on this, even though I do understand it...
In order to be happy you need to be free, and in order to be free you need to be brave...that is a truth that goes through out the centuries...
Is the mentality, not something else, and is better to have it, rather than not...Special forces or not, everyone in that area has military training anyway...It is compulsory....
The more shop keepers you have with self defense training means that criminals will become more desperate and that shop keepers become more content. No matter which way you look at it, more shop keepers will end up dead.
Its easier to let them have the money and let the police handle it.
Unless like him you are a black belt and spent time as a special forces soldier (more than qualifies him to make risk assesment decisions), then i would leave it to the professionals. Self defense courses do not make people professionals despite what they tell you or the new found confidence and boasting said by the newly trained person.
Hello,
I have a gun but I decided to study some self defence tecniques and moves that can help me to protect my family in case of violent situations or attacks. this a good resource I found that teaches exactly that: http://www.goobypls.com/r/rd.asp?gid=563
Brilliant result for this man - bet they weren't expecting that! Even keeping a can of hairspray behind a counter can be a very valuable aid against an attack - if you can't see, you can't attack.
