My sister can do the splits and I can't?

Well my sister Richeal is 8 and I'm 13. We all started learning the splits together and within days she got her splits and I still don't have mine. I did the splits one time but I didn't get it till I stretched real hard whiles Richeal can do it without having to stretch now. Please give me tips on how to get it fast. And I could do the splits when I was around 10 years but I didn't do it again till now and I'm thirteen so please give me tips. So if there's a reason for this happening please.

P.S I have reached puberty and I get my monthly gift..if that could help.

Younger kids are always more flexible. The older you get, the less flexible you get. I'll post some pictures of stretches because it's hard to explain them. I'll try to explain a few. Do lunges on both sides. Sit in a straddle and reach toward one foot and then the other. Reach to the middle. Hold your split for 1 minute then 2 minutes. Even if it is bad looking, hold it. Eventually you can do your split and hold your arms above your head, it will force you to go all the way down.

Since you have gotten your monthly gift, you've grown more mature now which means you have grown more. You have lost your flexibility and have to stretch out your new muscles and practice daily. Get up early everyday and stretch, lunges, touching your toes, and just staying in the split position will help. Also your sister is still young so she will get things faster, but might just like lose her flexibility as she matures.

Young girls are much more flexible than older girls. Keep stretching every day and you'll eventually get it
