Is this place a McDojo?

Without going there makes it hard to say, but some things on the website that looks good for not being a McDojo is that the class prices are extremely cheap and they actually post the costs on the website, That's usually not a good thing to do business-wise, but it is very honest and upfront. Another thing that looks good is that all the martial arts they claim to teach are all one culture based, in this case, Japanese, which is good because if it is cross culture then there is a higher chance the instructor does not care about the culture part.

One thing I didn't like is that on his Aikido pic, they are using swords, that was surprising because Aikido is more about using your hands and joint locks as far as I know.

I recommend checking it out at least, you might find more downsides after you go. If it's "boring and hard." that probably means it's really good. If it looks like flailing, it's probably bad.

Kind of. Here's why:

The only decent technique shown is by the instructor. His shoulder throw was a little off, but granted he may be old, fine whatever.

Usually in these commercials/promos, they present their best students. There were none. Looking around the class, a lot of them are going through the motion, but are not really simulating a resisting opponent.

What I'm saying is if you put in the minimum work, then you will get ripped off. If you learn the applications, then they will work in a real life situation, but you have to really study up on your stuff.

I wouldn't suspect it to be one. Looks like they teach traditional arts. If you see yourself improving and belt promotions aren't quickly given, then its likely not. But they teach a good mix. A lot of ground/submissions focus.

it looks like a legit school they have a free trial class so go check it out.

Visit the school, ask questions, look at the senior students and check this out: http://www.karatebyjesse.com/93-signs-of...

Im starting to feel a little paranoid after reading an article about McDojo's just wondering if this is one:
