Yes it is a sport. They even have competitions.
It depends on the type of cheer the ones that cheer in other teams isn't that much of a sport but the type that goes to compititions is a sport and it's very hard and dangerous
I'm a guy who enjoys motocross basketball American football soccer and boxing.... And I can honestly say with no shame cheerleading is 100% a sport doesn't matter the level or the skill it's a sport you're at an event with a team doing physical activity with compitions and practices it's more of a sport in my opinion than nascar or other types of car racing
Depends on the level. not all compete or do all the lifts and tricks and such. For them, it is not. For the ones who do all that crap, year round even, yes, it is, the skill and level of fitness needed is the same as any athlete.
