Properly applied chokes can put a person out in as little as 3 to 5 seconds. One of the biggest misconceptions about chokes is that you have to apply them with a lot of strength.
Some of the best chokes I've seen look like they are barely being applied.
Note: there are three kinds of chokes. I see people saying that there are only two kinds, but they forget about combination chokes. The three types are Air chokes, blood chokes, and combination chokes that restrict both the air and the blood.

A strangle can take a matter of seconds as it cuts of oxygen ot the brain, where as a choke will take for as long as the person can hold their breath. You shouldn't be practising chokes ever unless you fancy a trip to prison.
Strangle should be released immediately that the person passes out.
within a few seconds.. depending on the chock being used, also its all in the leverage used by the person.. that why you need the person to tap, you can kill someone if they don't...
about 5-10 minutes
thats how long the average brazilian can hold their breath
Cheers.
