Well, the medal count obviously proves that Asians aren't "supposed to suck at sports". Lots of people are asking this question on Yahoo Answers. They have a huge population, and they worked hard. Hard work pays off.
Asians is in fact the most athletic people on the wrold, whites and blacks just won't accept that fact. Why you think China is leading in medals and all these country with a mass population of blacks have few medals?

Yes it goes back and forth. So, although China is good, the USA is good too...neck and neck with them. Our athletes, however, aren't mass produced like China's. China takes children as young as 6 years old from their homes without parental consent, forces them to work out hard every day, doesn't allow them to see their families, forces their little bodies to bend and bear weight by using cruel, painful techniques. The USA would never allow such abuse. Our athletes work out because they WANT to, not because they are FORCED to. (although there are some exceptions of overbearing, aggressive parents) China pumps out robot-like athletes for the notoriety it brings their country and for the revenue it brings in through endorsements. Their athletes see very little of that money.

Being good at competing doesn't mean we are good at all sports .I am Chinese .We all know Americans love sports .That's more important .Olympic is just an event .I guess it's just means we have more people to select and train the kids to go for the golds .At the end ,I think hornors should go to the hard working athletes no matter where are they from .

China is the home of Kung Fu. China has, in the past, been linked to government sponsored doping and government sponsored work camps where very young kids go through boot camp and the best of those get put in camps that train for the Olympics.
