Can you learn gymnastics as a late teen?

Well I'm a late teen and am going to be on a cheerleading squad but I want to do it in college too how much will my body let me learn or is it too late?

Yeah I've gone to a few adult freestyle classes for gymnastics recently and loads of adults most around 20 - 30 are still learning some pretty high level skills when they only started a year or so back also gymnasts don't actually peak until their 24 anyway so if your in your late teens you still have a good few years although it will be harder to pick up flexibility for tumbling , vault , bars its not all really that important. If you wanted to get to a high competition level I would recommend trampolining over gymnastics I started trampolining 2 years ago aged 15 and I do highish level competitions now and you don't need to be flexible so loads of adults do competitive trampolining just something to consider

Sure! Take tumbling classes at a gymnastics or cheerleading gym. It will be a little harder since you are probably not flexible and taller. But it is totally possible. If you are athletic and learn quickly then you can probably learn up to a back tuck, layout, and full. But if you're not very athletic and are a slow learner, then you'll probably just be able to learn a back handspring.

Yes u can(:! It all depends on how dedicated u are to learning & getting the muscle memory, it takes throwing a million times and a good coach/facility....I started actually tumbling at like 18, I just found it more difficult since I mental blocked a lot and was a lot more afraid since I was older...being bigger makes it harder too, but I put in hours 5 days a week & eventually got a bhs...it takes time the so u have to be patient....I only did it a year so I never began working on my tuck but with determination u can

Yes ! Put in the time effort and passion and you'll learn what u want as long as your determined and willing to try. And also ALWAYS trust yourself it makes EVERYTHING soooo much easier and more fun! Have fun Hun. Hope I helped. :)
