Can anybody do 100 push ups daily?

Is it possible? If so how many v can di this continuously. How some guys do pushups by fingers and just thumbs! Why some legends like Bruce Lee also do pushup by fingers?

I am a pushup freak. Literally. I am very good at them and held a record for pushups in 2010 for 136 in 2 min. I used to do them all the time in JROTC and ROTC.

Now, I try to knock out 500 a day. But I will admit I have gotten lazy and have not done this in a week.

I usually can do about 110 without stop. Never tried to do them on my fingers or thumbs, I prefer the fist.

EDIT: Mark made a very good point above. The more you do, the more your body will grow accustomed to the exercise, and your body will go into maintenance mode. This is why P90X was created. Like he said you have to shake it up, do different types of pushups, or not do pushups at all and focus on different muscle groups.

I have probably hit my max and won't be able to do more than 150 on one sitting. If I can do 100 without stop I am happy. But like Mark said there are other muscles I want to train.

If you're serious about increasing your strength, follow this six week training program and you'll soon be on your way to completing 100 consecutive push ups!

Think there's no way you could do this? I think you can! All you need is a good plan, plenty of discipline and about 30 minutes a week to achive this goal!

No doubt some of you can already do 50 consecutive push ups, but let's face it, you're in a big minority. Most of you reading this won't even be able to manage 20 pushups. Actually, I'm sure many of you can't even do 10.

Once you acheive the ability to do large numbers of repetitions...It's questionable whether they are doing you any good.

You're just in maintenance mode...You're not making any progress.

It would be much better to add resistance, do different types of pushups, that sort of thing.

However...I hope you're not one of those people that think that "pushups" are some sort of exercise program. There are about 600 voluntary muscles in the body...Pushups address about four...What are you doing for the rest of you?

Yes, 100 consecutive push-ups isn't even very impressive. I can do over a hundred and I would consider myself average at my MMA gym with physical fitness. I have several friends in the army special forces and rangers and that is about the minimum score if you even want a chance to get through the training.

Yup it is easy. just do 5 push ups sequentially to reach 100- 300 pushups. FYI Finger pushups are better than all kinds of pushups.

100 push ups/day is child's play. Anyone can do that. When I did boxing we had this old school kind of trainer. Each training was ended with 100 push ups and 200 sit ups. I can't do 100 in one succession but dividing it up it's no problem.

Yes i have done 3 set of 100 push ups with 1 min break. But it takes 2 to 3 month practice for fresh one

since i moved out of home i got fat, now i do 20 every day

A realistic amount

You call 100 hard? Stop being a little girl! lol.

i can do 500 push ups and more

20 is enough for me

ummm ya you can
