A question for practitioners of bak mei?

It sounds like your sister's boyfriend does not have the temperment to teach you or anyone else Bak Mei. This is typical of a lot of great fighters. They fight well, but they can't teach worth a damn because they lack patience and other important character traits of a good instructor. Your best bet is to find an actual Bak Mei school and learn there.

1. No.

2. Yes.

3. Yes.

P.S. I'm jealous. If I had the opportunity to train with another bak mei practitioner, I would in an instant. It's very rare, but very refined. Difficult to understand, but when you do, the applications are phenomenal.

1. Nope

2. Possibly depends on your paste

3. Not unless if you're a good fighter.

1 No.

2 Depends on what you consider hard.

3 If performed correctly yes.

i got an interest in bak mei lately because my sisters boyfriend knows it and i want to train with him. the reason why i dont ask him these questions is because i dont want to look dumb cause he get annoyed really quickely btw

anyways, here are my questions:

1 do i need prior experience in a nother martial art?

2 is it hard?

3 is it useful and effective?
