I watched bits and pieces and it looked good. Wasn't too sure after the first game where the refs were their normal poor but they got into the swing of Nines. The only downside was the number of teams. They should have had more. As a Kiama Sevens supporter, they have about 40 teams competing with the competition lasting the same two days. That was my only real gripe about the weekend.
Honestly, I barely watched any of it. To me it just seems like the AFL pre-season matches, a bit of a warm up for the real season.
