Right First things first, are you in a team? Are you playing every week? Are you the starter in your position If the answer to any of them is no, there's a problem If you aren't in a team you can't play If you're not playing you won't be scouted If you're not starting, why not? What makes the starter better? If you are in a team ask your coach to arrange a scout visit (good clubs have links to premiership and championship sides) the team in involved with are linked to a top premiership side and have many of the kids on their books Your coach will have the training through his fa badges to help If you're not in a team, join so you can see how good you are
Play at the best level you can and just hope that a scout is watching your game, 16 is very late to aim to get into the academy pyramid as 16s is the last season before YTS contracts are given out but never give up!
