Romper will be right onto this - that was clearly VFL not AFL :-) ... but I remember another one from the centre circle at the G that bounced near the line and went through. Was it Jesaulenko? As G Man has already pointed out once this week, I've consumed an awful lot of beer, wine and other funny stuff since those days. Or was it DURING those days. And I've forgotten more than I should have! Was this goal at the G? If so it may have been longer than the one I vaguely remember anyway. I personally witnessed a 90 yard drop kicked goal one day in Sydney (I was playing SFL seconds at the time and the guy dobbed one from ... I'd guess ,,, five or ten yards closer than that but it was just awesome to watch from a 25 stone (maybe 140kg???) lump of lard off about a step and a half - and that puffed him out!! Thanks for the memories!
I'm prepared to say yes, there have been longer kicks but never to score a goal, it was a very similar to Blights, this goal bounced through whereas Blights went over the fence!
