Here's a fantastic Irelia build you can read. it has extensive information on her builds, skills, lane matchups, and early to late game progression. she's not innately tanky so going mainly dmg and lifesteal is not recommended. a great item for her though is botrk because of the attack speed, life steal, dmg, and slow active.
