Wouldn't this channel this boring product into a new direction?
-Mizdow and Seth Rollins being put over.
-Daniel Bryan's record of holding every title in current WWE.
-John Cena saying 'I Quit' is in itself, a Wrestlemania moment.
-Undertaker winning protects him from being tarnished, and puts Bray Wyatt over. Make it a tough match; have Undertaker perform 2-3 Tombstones on Bray before putting him to rest. Bray gets put over (even with a loss).
-Roman Reigns getting Paul Heyman. Paul Heyman's veteran enough to guide Reigns through this push, because he's clearly having trouble on his own (a lot of the blame falls on smarks, but still).
Asked this question because I was bored and got to thinking, but let me know your thoughts.
It's an improvement over the original card, that's for sure. I see you've taken Stardust & R-Truth out of the ladder match, that's good.
I don't agree with Bryan winning the IC Title. I think Ambrose needs this victory more. John Cena quitting would make for a shocking Wrestlemania moment and elevate Rusev big time. Taker vs Wyatt looks fine, as does HHH vs Sting and Rollins vs Orton.
Reigns turning heel and Heyman turning on Lesnar would make for an awesome double turn, and it would also leave a potential storyline open a few years down the road if Lesnar ever decides to return to the company. Not only that but Reigns' mic skills aren't exactly the best, so a manager to speak for him would prove beneficial in his development.
I'm a little disappointed that we didn't get Bryan vs Lesnar, but that's not really relevant to the question so I won't rant any further.
Solid card overall. Better than the original.
Mizdow and Seth Rollins being put over.
- Question would be where does Sandow go after the whole Miz Vs Mizdow angle ends
- Randy Orton putting anyone over is expecting a bit much, I see Rollins going over but I don't see Orton having much part in it.
Daniel Bryan's record of holding every title in current WWE.
- I don't see it this way, having Bryan win the IC would just be the final title he needs to win; now if Dean Ambrose was to win this it could set up Rollins Vs Ambrose Vs Reigns in the future.
John Cena saying 'I Quit' is in itself, a Wrestlemania moment.
- Keep Dreaming, where does this leave Cena?
Undertaker winning protects him from being tarnished, and puts Bray Wyatt over. Make it a tough match; have Undertaker perform 2-3 Tombstones on Bray before putting him to rest. Bray gets put over (even with a loss).
- I could see it this way, BUT with how much legacy hype behind this match I think it'd turn out like Vs John Cena at last years Wrestlemania; The Deadman doesn't really need to go over here. Specifically since the days of The Undertaker being the undeniable phenom is coming to a close.
Roman Reigns getting Paul Heyman. Paul Heyman's veteran enough to guide Reigns through this push, because he's clearly having trouble on his own (a lot of the blame falls on smarks, but still).
- Look at The Rock when he turned heel, his career took off I see potential in Reigns specifically with Paul Heyman for that to happen again. Although, I'd rather see Rollins cash in on Reigns with Ambrose winning the IC title to set up The Shield Vs each other The People have been asking for since they broke up.
Bonus Question: Which Wrestlemania XXXI match are you looking forward to the most?
(Not out of the matches I posted, out of the actual card)
- Strangely enough John Cena Vs Rusev, yeah The Ladder Match will steal the show bar none; but I want to see where WWE takes Cena Vs Rusev and how Rusev may handle his first pinfall/submission loss.
Thank you for the email. I will provide better insights than accepting blind fanboys like Mister DH.
I agree with a lot of the bookings but I think Bray should win. If he loses, where does that leave him? The other matches are fine, I mean they're not outstanding but compared to what WWE has given it looks better.
TBH I don't like Daniel Bryan's unorigniality but I will leave my personal bias and go with what fans like.
Bray goes over even with a loss? uhhh nope. that's wishful thinking at it's finest. if Bray loses, he looks like a complete fool. he's been cutting promos like crazy to build hype and talk himself up. losing discredits the crap out of him. losing means all of this build up, from the Rumble to now has been a complete waste of time. he can't become the "new face of fear" with out beating the old one (and i mean OLD). bray has to win or he just goes back to being thrown into random midcard matches and forgettable feuds. bray winning is best for business. believe that.
Yeah maybe.
I would prefer this card.
Paige v. AJ Lee v. Nikki Bella v. Brie [DIVAS]
TAG TEAM OPEN INVITATIONAL Ladder Match
THE ASCENSION, THE USOS, THE VAUDEVILLIANS, LUCHA DRAGONS,
etc. (IMO you have to include NXT TT to make this match relevant)
Sting vs. Taker vs. Bray Wyatt
Triple H v. Ambrose
Orton v. Rollins
Daniel Bryan v. Dolph Ziggler [IC] (IC Title was dropped before Mania)
Rusev v. BnB v. Sheamus v. John Cena [US] (Much needed Heel turn for Sheamus, much needed face turn for BnB. how awesome would it be for him to be like I'm afraid I've got some bad news to Lana and Rusev. Also would create an obstacle for Rusev to overcome who has always been in singles matches)
Battle Royale with some actual talent and feuds in it. Miz/Sandow, Goldust/Stardust, Kidd/Cesaro, Kane/Big Show, much needed talent by adding guys like R-Truth, Stardust, and Luke Harper to it and a chance to give some talent a push like Axel, Sandow, Kidd, or Cesaro again but to capitalize on it this time.
Reigns v. Lesnar
Yes roman turning heel that would be great.
indeed
