News flash: Sometimes in life you must push hard to overcome obstacles on subjects you don't care a lot about. This is being a leader.
How long have you felt this way? Weeks or months? I would not quit if it is weeks or months. I was a swimmer in high school. There were times I really did not like training and all the b.s. that went with being on a team. But,I am glad I did not quit.
If you have felt this way for years then it may be time to stop playing baseball and start doing something else productive with your time. They key here is don't use this new found free time to goof off. Find something else productive to do that you enjoy.
No, you are just going through a rough time now. You don't know what your future holds with baseball. The freshman might get injured and you get in a have a great game. Or maybe you should seek a different position.
If it is not fun anymore quit. Especially since you already know what you want to do with your life and like you said baseball is not part of it. Don't subscribe to the B S, quitters are losers, these poor souls have been MISINFORMED, Again if it is no longer fun, then you quit! BTW, do you think that someday into the future that you will regret that you didn't play volleyball? Well looking back years from now, baseball will seem as unimportant as volleyball. Focus on your Military career, there are so many options in the military and when you get out after you have learned to be a sky pilot among many other skills that are taught to you for free, you will have so many choices available to you. The skills that you can learn in the military are endless.
Yes, you should quit. It sounds like the team would be better off without you.
I'm lost interest in baseball and the head coach is a ****. A freshman is starting over me and he is trash. I can honestly say that I haven't worked as hard as I could have, but I have lost complete interest.
I love all the guys I play with, but I already know what I want with my life and baseball isn't part of it. I plan to join the military and quitting baseball will relieve so much stress and free up my schedule.
It's tough to consider quitting after this year because I don't want to regret it in the future. I know I have the drive and passion to be a leader in the military and I work hard and overcome anything that gets in my way, I've just lost passion for baseball.
