Really embarrased about my behavior in martial arts?

you have nothing to be ashamed of or feel guilty of. stop being so hard on yourself if you learned any thing in martial art it was to concentrate and now is that time for you to concentrate on your training again not on your past acts.

You are not the first person that had to stop for whatever their reasons were. We all understand that life happens. It sounds like you enjoyed training there. The people their benefited from you being there and miss you. You just need to get back in and train and get yourself back up to speed. Enjoy your training.

I'm curious what project you had to do for a martial arts class?

It's fine, let's give zero ***** about it and move on.

dont worry about it, theres nothing to feel guilty about

Don't worry about it. Like you said Life Happens...

I was two years into my program at a school in Florida before I took a 9 month break. I was heavily involved, working on projects with them, & then disappeared. Life happened. Got busy with graduation, job, problems at home.

I never asked for them to stop withdrawing tuition every month. I liked the idea of knowing I could go back anytime. I hate the idea of quitting. I knew I was committed to training. It made my life better, made me a strong confident woman.

Martial arts was not only a big part of my life but a great stress reliever. I wasn't able to go back for 9 straight months, paid tuition for those months, never visited to turn in some projects I worked on.

I went in this weekend my first day back, gave in the projects in case they wanted them, people said they missed me, I was little too enthusiastic about classes & signing up for something new when I spoke to the headmaster & instructor. Now that it's been two days, I am almost ashamed to go to class tomorrow, embarassed I took so much time off while still paying (graduated, got a car, got a career job, won awards, etc.) I just can't shake this guilt & embarrassment.
