You are giving up 3 bench players for the guy you think will finish 4th at RB. This is easy. I don't think Foster is going to finish 4th, but it's your team.
You think Vereen is a top 10/12 play when healthy? He's healthy now, and still not in your lineup.
I would agree with what No has to say, I love Foster when healthy but it's tough to know when he's healthy. Colston, MJD, and Vereen are all risky players that can't give u the production that Foster gives you. I'd do the trade.

I don't necessarily agree with all of your analysis, but I would do the trade. You are giving up:
MJD: You are asking a lot of a 29 year old RB (which is dinosaur in the NFL)...a guy that ran poorly last year, major injury the year before, who is now on a bad team, with a bad coach (8-24 record), who is splitting carries (McFadden), and is lining up behind a rookie QB (defenses will stack the box)
Vereen: nothing but a player that you won't have the balls to start, because they spread the ball around so much, and he isn't the starting RB. Let someone else deal with that headache. He ran for 200 yds total last year, with 427 receiving. It would be a total guessing game each week if you should start him.
Colston: top WR on a team that wins and a QB that throws close to 5,000 yds. However, he is so injury prone...and he is questionable almost every single week throughout the season. Ive dealt with the "game time decision" in having him in the past. Again...its nice when he plays...but you never know when he is gonna suit up.
Getting:
Foster: Im leery of his injury and age...on a team without a QB. But he is a home run RB when healthy. Vereen and MJD are not home run hitters...and you won't win a title with either in your lineup regularly. Colston is if he was to ever play a full season (he hasnt started 14 games since 2009).
I give:
Jones-Drew
Vereen
Colston
I get:
Arian Foster
My team:
QB: Drew Brees
RB: Zac Stacy
RB: Toby Gerhart
WR: Calvin Johnson
WR: Randall Cobb
TE: Tim Wright
FLEX: Chris Johnson
DST: New England Patriots
K: Nick Folk
BN: Shane Vereen
BN: Maurice Jones-Drew
BN: Marques Colston
BN: Khiry Robinson
BN: Andre Williams
BN: Brandin Cooks
BN: Andrew Hawkins
10 teams, no PPR
I'm kinda on the fence here. I believe Foster will have a great year. TE injury does not scare me off. I have him finishing 4th among all RBs this season (behind AP, McCoy, and Forte). I think Houston will really look to lean on Foster without a strong QB.
On the other hand, it really ***** my fantasy team from the inside out. Losing Colston isn't a huge deal, but I will be left scrambling if either Cobb or Johnson get hurt. The real problem is that I will be losing 2 running backs who could be productive this year. MJD could return to form (and looks like he will based on the preseason). Vereen could be a sneaky top 10/12 play every week he's healthy. I'd be left with Stacy, Gerhart, and Chris Johnson as my other backs.
In the end, I think the trio of Brees, Foster, and Calvin could win me a championship, and I guess I do still have some depth.
There are positives and negatives to this trade, but I'd like to hear from you. What do you think?
