I wouldn't say they have a bias against teams, though. Any bias against a team you may hear or read is from the individual commentator, anchor, or writer. They only have a bias for specific teams.
ESPN is biased toward football and basketball.
If Andy Pettitte threw 2 perfect games in a row in the World Series, Hanley Ramirez threw 2 in a row the same World Series (I know he's not a pitcher, I'm making a point), and while we're at it Bartolo Colon hit for the cycle with his home run being inside the park, ESPN would still talk more about Lebron James's new pair of underwear or Tom Brady's new brand of toilet paper.
Yes they r how many times have you heard them talk about the pirates either.
I remember watching ESPN one time when josh hamilton hit 4 homers in one game and there lead story was Tim tebow changed the name of his dog from bronco to bronx ESPN is going the way of MTV they talk about stuff no one cares about except a select few
During the summer months I hardly ever watch ESPN, only MLB Network. Really the only thing I'll watch ESPN for is college football and basketball.
ESPN tends to talk more about popular teams. Teams with more fans, etc.
Watch MLB network, sportscenter sucks
Yes, all they talk about is the Heat or the Jets. Heck, they made an hour program on LeBron making "The Decision." I mean, how biased was that?!?!?!
Yes it's all about the Yankees and red sux for espn.
Watch FOX Sports, its better.
TV looks for big numbers, big numbers means big dollars, big dollars means more coverage where the most TV watchers are. Right! Dunno "but it is the way it is"
The Cincinnati Reds have the 2nd most wins in baseball this season. The NL central as of yesterday is the only division with 3 teams at 40 or more wins.
The Nationals are a game under 500. The Reds are 14 over. On a nightly basis, the Nationals are covered on Sportscenter, win or loss. Same with yankees, texans, and other teams with lower BA, Team runs to ERA ratio, and wins than the Reds.
They are ignored. Earlier this year the reds beat the Phillies 10-0 and swept the series. Virtually no coverage.
I just want to know why the Reds are the black sheep of baseball, yet theyre the 2nd best overall.
